Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties Support Natural Gas Drilling but Come Up Short on Gas Tax/Impact Fee Money!—DLP Fighting for GAS TRUCK AND GAS DRILLING ACCIDENT VICTIMS IN BRADFORD, SUSQUEHANNA AND TIOGA COUNTIES

The State collected over $206 million in gas drilling tax/impact fee money.  Most of the money went to counties such as Bradford where most of the gas drilling rigs are located.  However, because of some method for distribution designed by Governor Corbett and the State Republicans, counties such as Luzerne and Lackawanna which border the Marcellus Shale gas drilling region and support much of the drilling activity on their roads and elsewhere received LESS tax money than far away counties such as Berks,  Bucks  and Lehigh.   Both  Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties received a bit over  $200,000.  Some far away counties  including even Bucks where there is a moratorium on gas drilling!!–received over $300,000 and upwards.  Local leaders are claiming foul, but it does not appear that anything will change in Harrisburg.

The team of lawyers at  DLP continue working every day to represent victims of  GAS TRUCK,  DRILLING WELL and  GAS PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION ACCIDENTS.   DLP is handling cases in  Federal Court and in State Courts in  TIOGA,  BRADFORD,  SUSQUEHANNA,  WYOMING,  SULLIVAN,  LYCOMING  AND  throughout Pennsylvania Gas Country.    DLP has collected  millions of dollars for thousands of clients over the past 35  years.
