Biography: David is a native of the Wyoming Valley and graduated from Pittston Area High School in 1990. He is a 1994 graduate of Penn State University and a 1999 graduate of The University of Akron School of Law.

David practiced law at DLP in its Kingston office since August of 1999, and he has been a Partner in the firm since January of 2007. He focuses on Personal Injury cases with an emphasis on car accidents, truck accidents, dog bites, defective products, medical malpractice & insurance disputes.

David is a member of various professional organizations and was recognized as a Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2007. He has handled a wide variety of Personal Injury cases in Northeastern Pennsylvania and is admitted in both State and Federal Courts.

David is active in the community with local charities and is a proud member of the Wilkes-Barre Chapter of UNICO National, an Italian American service organization. He was the Chapter President for 2006/2007 and served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for 2007/2008. Through its fund raising efforts, UNICO has made substantial donations to local Charities and has also provided scholarships for local students.

Biography: Paul T. Oven has been a Partner in Dougherty, Leventhal & Price, LLP’s Moosic office since
2000 and has been with the firm since 1995. He focuses his practice on complex civil litigation
including medical malpractice, product liability, insurance bad faith and automobile/trucking cases.

He is a board certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 2003 and has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

He was also recently selected and invited to become a Fellow in the Litigation Council of America
which is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American
lawyers.

Paul has lectured extensively for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Dispute Resolution Institute,
National Business Institute and Lackawanna County Bar Association. He is a member of the NEPA
Trial Lawyers’ Association, American Association of Justice, Pennsylvania Bar Association and
Lackawanna County Bar Association.

The NORTHEAST BUSINESS JOURNAL recently named Paul as one of Northeast

Paul was also recently published in the February 2009 edition of TRIAL MAGAZINE, The
Journal of the American Association for Justice for an article entitled Initial Steps In the
Roadway Drop Off Case where he and his firm obtained a $14.5 million dollar settlement for a
catastrophically injured client.

Paul received his Undergraduate Degree from the University of Scranton and graduated with
Honors from the Duquesne University School of Law where he served as Student Bar Association
President and was a member of the Justice Lewis Manderino Honor Society.

Biography: Thomas P. Cummings has been a Partner with Dougherty, Leventhal & Price, LLP since
1996 has been with the firm since 1991. He focuses his practice on workers’ compensation and Social Security Disability cases.

Tom works primarily from DLP’s Moosic, Pa. office and is a certified member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives. Sean P. McDonough is a 1983 graduate (cum laude) of the University of Scranton and a 1986 graduate of the Dickinson School of Law.

Upon graduation from law school, he entered the private practice of law with the firm of Dougherty, Leventhal & Price, a regional litigation law firm. He has been a partner with the firm since 1993. Over the years, Mr. McDonough has concentrated his practice in the areas of personal injury litigation; he has also represented governmental entities and officials in federal civil rights and employment lawsuits throughout Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. Mr. McDonough has appeared in front of both the Equal Opportunity Commission and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commissions in a wide variety of employment discrimination cases.

Mr. McDonough represents parties in many of the state trial courts in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania and has also served as counsel in many cases in all three federal district courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mr. McDonough currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. Mr. McDonough has lectured on the rights of injured victims in civil litigation for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and has also appeared as a speaker for various associations on civil rights, municipal and employment law throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Judith Gardner Price

Biography: Judy Price came to Northeastern Pennsylvania from Philadelphia in 1980 following receipt of her Juris Doctorate Degree from Temple University School of Law. For the past 20 years Judy has been affiliated with the law firm of Dougherty, Leventhal & Price, L.L.P. concentrating her practice in domestic and criminal law, wills and estates, and personal injury and civil litigation.

In 1989 Judy co-founded the St. Joseph’s Girls Biddy Basketball League for the City of Scranton where she served as the Executive Director of the League, team coach, all-star coach, and league referee for 15 years. Judy also served as coach with the Minooka Babe Ruth Baseball League and the Connell Park Girls Softball League.

In 1989 Judy received certification as a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Instructor and for six years instructed students in grades one through eight at Nativity of Our Lord School in South Scranton. At Natvity of Our Lord School Judy also served as Director of the Annual Children’s Christmas “Give-A-Gift” Program for several years and was active in the school’s Parent-Teacher Association.

Judy is presently a member of the Board of Directors of Lackawanna County Catholic Social Services, a member of the Diocese of Scranton Pastoral Council, former member of the College of Misericordia Board of Trustees and former National President of the College Misericordia Alumni Association.

Professionally, Judy has served for 13 years as a Certified Mediator with the United States Federal District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and has been a Solicitor for various county and municipal authorities including the Scranton Municipal Parking Authority, City Controller’s Office, Lackawanna County Board of Assessment Appeals, and Lackawanna County Bureau of Children and Youth Services and Area Agency on Aging.
