Activities/Pro Bono: Active in the community, John serves as President of the Minooka Neighborhood Association, Treasurer of the Minooka Babe Ruth League, and he is Past Chairman of St. Joseph’s Church’s Annual Picnic. He is a lector at Divine Mercy Parish and he is very active in coaching youth sports. Additionally, John and the other attorneys he works with in DLP’s Lackawanna County office have received the Equal Access to Justice Award from Lackawanna Pro Bono, Inc. for the volunteer legal services they have provided to those in need each year for the past four years.
Education: Attorney Finnerty is a graduate of the University of Scranton where he obtained a Bachelor of Sciene (B.S.) Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.). In 1996, John graduated Cum Laude from Widener University School of Law where he distinquished himself as a member of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society.
