Biography: John Finnerty has been representing clients in Northeastern Pennsylvania as an attorney with Dougherty, Leventhal & Price since 1996. Attorney Finnerty represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants in all types of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, workers’ compensation, auto accidents, products liability, commercial disputes, and slip and fall claims. Attorney Finnerty also regularly represents clients in real estate transactions and in the administration of estates. After serving as the Assistant Solicitor for ten (10) years, Attorney Finnerty has been the Solicitor of Pittston Township, Luzerne County, since 2008.
Active in the community, John serves as President of the Minooka Neighborhood Association and is Past Chariman of St. Joseph’s Church’s Annual Picnic. He is a lector at Divine Mercy Parish and he is very active in coaching youth sports.
Attorney Finnerty is a graduate of the University of Scranton where he obtained a Bachelor of Sciene (B.S.) Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.). John graduated Cum Laude from Widener University School of Law where he distinquished himself as a member of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society.
