The Scranton Times reports in a front page story today that Southwest Energy has purchased the lease holding of Chesapeake Energy in Northeast Pennsylvania. Southwest now controls thousands of acres of potentially valuable natural gas properties in Susquehanna, Wyoming and other counties.
In other news, water wells in Franklin Township were cleared from any pollution caused by nearby natural gas drilling and fracking. Residents still disagree with the EPA findings.
