Once again residents of Pennsylvania’s Marcellus Shale regions are reminded that the current lull in natural gas drilling is only temporary. The authority that runs the Pittsburgh area airports recently received bids for natural gas drilling rights on its property. If accepted the bids will generate millions of dollars in lease fees and additional millions of dollars in future royalties if natural gas is harvested from the properties. Natural gas companies continue to lease land and pipeline construction companies continue to build gathering pipelines throughout Pennsylvania in anticipation of natural gas prices increasing and more natural gas being exported in the near future.
Over the past 35 years DLP has collected millions of dollars in settlements for clients residing in rural counties of Pennsylvania.
