Gas Drilling Zoning Law Struck Down By Commonwealth Court

The Commonwealth Court today sided with seven (7) communities who challenged the new Pennsylvania Natural Gas Drilling Act provisions which eliminated the rights of towns to regulate where gas drilling rigs can be located.   In a  4- 3 decision the Court ruled that the zoning provisions of the new law are unconstitutional.  The new law was drafted and pushed through Harrisburg by Republican leaders and Governor Corbett.  More information will follow.
