JUST IN TIME FOR TROUT SEASON
A judge in Huntington County Pennsylvania has opened the Little Junita River for public fishing just in time for trout season. In the case of the DEP v Espy, Judge Kurtz recently ruled that a private fishing club and private developer did not own the rights to the river. The Judge ruled that the river was declared a public highway by law in 1794. Even after more than 200 years the law has never been revoked and therefore the river remains open to the public for recreation, fishing, navigation and commerce.
